Location Description The Post Consumer Brands sales office in Bentonville is in the heart of the Natural State, Arkansas. Bentonville is also home to the Walmart home office, which this sales team primarily serves. In addition to managing the relationship with Post's largest customer, the small, dedicated team also participates in several charitable and volunteer events throughout the year. The team prides itself on winning together and working hard to meet goals, while celebrating wins. Responsibilities Job Function Reports to the VP supporting Post Consumer Brands at Walmart. The Director of Sales will manage all aspects of the everyday responsibilities of the Cat Food & Treats and Dog Treats businesses at Walmart and lead the development of business plans with the customer to profitably grow our mutual businesses. Effective time management, financial acumen, building and fostering key customer and internal relationships, planning/organizing, and managing and developing internal talent will be required to be successful. Responsibilities Direct call on Walmart Corporate Meet or exceed sales targets and effectively manage the allocated trade budget Manage the responsibilities of the Cat Food, Cat Treats & Dog Treats business at Walmart Develop and implement merchandising programs that maximize profitable growth and align with both Post Consumer Brands and Walmart’s strategies Sell merchandising & distribution plans that optimize product mix, ensures correct placement, compliance with price points and maximizes promotion execution and results. Lead new item review process, and participate in retail activities, to maximize distribution Participate in Top-to-Top meetings with Post Consumer Brands and Walmart leadership teams. Maintain coordination with internal Post Consumer Brands departments for alignment on plans and ensure all programs, sales initiatives, issues, and questions are resolved promptly. Evaluate and adjust sales plans to ensure plan implementation and target achievement. Collaborate with Trade Marketing and Finance teams to optimize plans. Joint business planning to align Post Consumer Brands and customer growth objectives. Establish working relationships with key decision makers across levels of the organization. Lead and drive accurate forecasting and consistent communication on plans with Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams. Assist the Category Manager in the development and delivery of category analysis and presentations Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and develop solutions to complex problems. Represents Post Consumer Brands as the primary contact on projects and customer needs. Qualifications Education 4 year college degree Experience Minimum 10+ years in CPG sales &/or cross functional experience Previous Sales support positions (trade management, category management, and consumer marketing) are desirable Requires demonstrated skills in leadership and selling skills, data and insights, strong interpersonal skills, and presentation skills. Must be effective at problem-solving (analysis, solution finding, and bringing resolution to a problem), communications (both written and oral), and self-management (set priorities, plan/organize own work, good at detail and follow through) Excellent working knowledge of Syndicated data, Walmart Luminate, Power Point, and Excel. Travel 20% Work Location Bentonville, Arkansas at the Post Consumer Brands office (Hybrid)
