The Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining Food Safety through the cleaning of company equipment and facilities in food production and packaging areas within the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) as well as Company & Food Industry Best Practices and the Golden Rules of Safety. Employees will work as part of a team assigned to clean designated production equipment and facilities. The successful candidate will ensure all food production and packaging equipment and facilities are cleaned per a Master Schedule and company procedures. The Sanitation Tech will clean all machines thoroughly as per the strict standard operating procedures. Other tasks include Environmental swabbing and testing, follow all safety procedures and policies, and maintain daily reports and records as assigned

There are currently six openings, three for 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM and three for 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Sanitation Tech 1 pay range is $16.50 - $19.00

Sanitation Tech 2 pay range is $18.50 - $23.50

Job duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure all food production and packaging equipment and facilities are cleaned per a Master Schedule and company procedures

  • Clean all machines thoroughly as per the strict standard operating procedures. This requires the disassembly, reassembly, cleaning, and sanitizing of equipment.

  • HACCP – Environmental swabbing and testing (ATP, Salmonella, Listeria), Brittle Plastic/Broken glass inspections, eliminate organic and chemical residue form product contact surfaces, and monitor bullet magnets.

  • Follow all safety procedures and policies and report any unsafe or unsanitary conditions immediately to supervisor on duty.

  • Adhere to Good Housekeeping Practices

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and individual personal hygiene practices at all times.

  • Maintain daily reports and records as assigned

  • Train and Certify employees as assigned.

  • Complete all other tasks/duties as assigned by Supervisor

  • Responsible for supporting and maintaining Food Safety and Quality programs as it relates to this position.
