The Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of company facilities in non-food production and office areas within the guidelines of standard procedures, Best Practices and the company Rules of Safety. Employees will work as part of a team assigned to clean designated areas. The successful candidate will work as part of a team assigned to clean Grounds maintenance and upkeep. The Janitor will also ensure areas are cleaned per a Master Schedule and company procedures. Other tasks include cleaning exterior facilities and related equipment and support the Food Safety/Sanitation team

Job duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

Knowledge of:

  • Eugene policies and procedures

  • GMPs

  • Rules of Safety

  • Relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for the protection of people, data, and property

Work Environment :

  • This position will work in all HFS Eugene warehouse, office, and employee use environments, and outside during all types of weather.

  • Will work in areas with fluctuating temperature extremes as well as areas that will be wet.

  • Required uniform includes hairnet and/or beard guard, safety shoes, and company issued uniform.

Physical Requirements :

  • Able to climb, lift, balance, walk, stoop, and utilize cleaning equipment and tools.

  • Must be able to:

  • Regularly lift up to 30 pounds

  • Work on a cement, often wet, floor

  • Stand for long periods of time

  • Work from ladders, stationary and mobile platforms

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Experience in janitorial functions.

  • High School education or equivalent

  • Required to work off shift and week end schedules
