Responsibilities Assist in the drafting, revision, and maintenance of plant standard operating procedures. Organize and administer Document Control Program Provide leadership and training of quality assurance technicians and plant staff related to food safety and quality. Participate in plant food safety/quality inspections, in-process inspections, mock recalls, label audits, HACCP audits, and thermometer calibrations as required. Assist in SQF, 3rd party audits, regulatory inspections, plant inspections mock recalls. Must be able to work weekend and overtime as necessary. Expected to adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained in order to maintain SQF Quality certification. Report to mangement any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications One-year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Knowledge and experience with quality management systems, SSOP's, Environmental hygiene programs, prerequisite programs and HACCP. Knowledge of relavant GFSI standards such as SQF, FDA, and USDA. Abilty to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present infomration in one-on-one and in group situations. Ability to respond to questions from internal/external customers/vendors at all levels including management. Proficient organizational and time management skills. Ability to particpate in cross-function teams. Basic proficiency using computer programs (MS Office) for collecting and analyzing data and writing procedures and reports. Proficient communication skills. LICENCES, CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS HACCP Certification PCQI Certification SQF Practitioner Audit Certification recommended
