Location Description Post Consumer Brands corporate headquarters in Lakeville, Minn. is about 20 miles south of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Lakeville has all the benefits of smaller town living with access to everything a large metropolitan area has to offer. Join more than 400 team members collaborating on the two-building campus to help put breakfast on the tables of millions of consumers in North America. Responsibilities The Social Designer is an experienced hands-on Creative Team member who will personally develop a variety of photography, video, social and digital content for Post Consumer Brands. This individual contributor will be responsible for shooting and developing on-brand social and digital assets to support Post Consumer Brands social media and digital advertising strategies. This Content Designer will collaborate with our Brand and Integrated Marketing Communications teams to create consumer first communications deliverables that are on time and on budget. The Social Designer reports to the Executive Creative Director of Post Consumer Brands In-House Creative Agency. The ability to personally shoot content with on-brand art direction and strategic storytelling are critical to success in this position. Hands on creation of still photography, videos and graphically designed content Participate in strategic creative brainstorming sessions Ideate original content for social media and digital channels Quickly and effectively translate concepts into visually appealing posts Ability to communicate a brand’s reasons to believe through storytelling Design within brand guidelines, but know how to push the aesthetic, where appropriate, into the organic social space Utilize existing and aid in developing net new content pillars Translating our brand’s defined expressions and personalities in social and digital channels Graphic design & typography Photo editing & retouching Video editing Content planning for reusability—shoot once and use in multiple use cases Staying informed about social media & content trends, delivering fresh design ideas Remain current on industry technology and editing tools both in and out of apps Up to date on platform functionality, especially on Instagram and TikTok Work with performance data to create content that drives higher reach and engagement, and continue to push the boundaries of the creative Prop sourcing, location scouting and talent recruiting Organize and manage all assigned projects and follow through on all phases of creation Qualifications EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of experience as a content creator for Consumer Goods and/or Food and Beverage brands Comfort and familiarity with quick-turnaround content creation schedules—agile mindset Proficiency with social media culture and platform functionality Strong awareness of what performs best on social and digital channels Ability to personally shoot content at various levels of fidelity (ranging from iPhone to company-provided DSLR) High proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Aftereffects, Premier Pro Proficiency with TikTok/Instagram Video Editing tools Highly organized and efficient with time A stellar portfolio of work demonstrating the successful creation of innovative content Thorough understanding of social media publishing platforms. Ability to work alone or as part of a team Critical eye for detail Ability to gracefully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively to internal, external and executive audiences A Plus: Food prepping, food styling, propping and shooting for recipe content A plus: Applied experience or interest in animation/motion graphics and pertinent software (Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, etc) A plus: Comfortability being on camera occasionally, not required
