Location Description Post Consumer Brands corporate headquarters in Lakeville, Minn. is about 20 miles south of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Lakeville has all the benefits of smaller town living with access to everything a large metropolitan area has to offer. Responsibilities The position of Sr. Manager of Analytics serves as a key member of the Commercial Analytics team. This individual must enable data-driven decisions, fuel strategically minded analyses and ultimately guide recommendation for our brands and retail partners. They will collaborate with brand marketers to category managers to facilitate a deep understanding of what is driving our business. They will move the team beyond looking at numbers to telling a story about what the data means and what to do next. This Sr. Manager of Analytics role will be specifically responsible for leading analytic analyses, reporting and the democratization of point-of-sale and consumer panel data for our Grocery business unit. This business contains brands including Honey Bunches of Oats, Pebbles, Grape Nuts, Great Grains, Better Oats, Peter Pan and more. This candidate will be proficient with accessing and leveraging syndicated data to assess performance and identify growth opportunities. This position works cross functionally supporting teams across Post Consumer Brands. Strong partnership, communication and prioritization skills are required to build productive working relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners. A spirit of entrepreneurship and agility will be necessary to enable success within this role. Execute business analyses utilizing point-of-sale and consumer panel syndicated data sources Partner with marketing, category, sales, finance and ecommerce teams to facilitate and understanding of our business performance and growth opportunities Possess an intimate understanding of analytic frameworks and the relationships between distribution, shelving, merchandising and price Delivers weekly, monthly and quarterly business reporting to executive levels of the organization Collaborate with our Nielsen, Circana and Numerator support teams to maximize the value of our ongoing partnerships Empower decision making by delivering deep consumer understanding in simple, story like fashion Provide clear, actionable recommendations and consult to ensure activation of the learning Keep a pulse on the market research community to understand opportunities for new, more agile approaches and methodologies to data and analytics Participates in cross functional business management and forecasting processes Ensures appropriate use of findings and recommendations with teams and business partners; offers coaching when needed Bring a sense of creativity and exploration to the Analytics team and broader commercial organization Demonstrates Post Consumer Brands’ values of putting safety first, winning together, acting with integrity, being courageous and driving for results Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree required Experience 7+ years of market research/analytics experience in consumer-packaged goods. Significant experience with Nielsen is ideal; Circana and Numerator a plus Other Characteristics Strong executive communication skills: Solid written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and storytelling Clear results orientation: He/she should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment Broad perspective: Knows how to pull insights from multiple sources and unexpected places to drive break-through understanding and action plans Demonstrated experience managing external partners and ability to influence without formal authority Adept in analytic tools and business analysis and comfortable working with syndicated data (Nielsen/Circana/Numerator) Experience using and leveraging trend insights (Mintel, Kantar, etc.)
