Provides support services for receiving function in area of assignment. Responsible for ensuring that all material receivers are appropriately documented and transacted in SAP, verifying information on receiving documents, and communicating with purchasing to resolve any discrepancies. Prepares reconciliation to the receiving ledger and maintains departmental records, and performs other administrative services, including receptionist duties. Responsible for assisting in the month-end accounting closing process by providing clerical support and performing receiving duties of a routine nature. Receiving duties apply to all three NPE plants

Represents the company by maintaining a professional workspace and cordial contacts with clients and other visitors. Assists the office with miscellaneous tasks.


  1. Verifies materials and quantities received against vendor provided BOL and open purchase orders

  2. Ensures that all material is received timely in accounting systems with proper documentation.

  3. Communicates internally and externally to ensure proper documentation is retained to support payment to vendor.

  4. Reconciles open receiving report, reviews expected receipts with purchasers. Researches receipts expected but not entered

  5. Performs other administrative duties including accepting, signing for, and distributing packages and mail in a timely manner and office supply ordering.

  6. Responsible for assisting in the month-end accounting close process by providing clerical support and verifying any material received but not entered to support month-end accruals.

  7. Supports administrative staff, set up and clean-up of meetings

  8. Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.

  9. Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.

  10. Greet all visitors and assist as necessary

  11. Answer multi-line phone and direct to appropriate personnel

  12. Perform other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE : One year technical training beyond high school in accounting or computer operation and two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Select the minimum level required for this position) Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.



  • Computer knowledge including spreadsheets and Microsoft Office programs.

  • Knowledge of SAP computer system helpful.

  • Office equipment including 10-key calculator, photocopy and fax machines, printer.

  • Detail-oriented
