Location Description The Meadville, Pennsylvania facility is 135,000 square feet and home to about 290 hard working team members who are proud to produce iconic pet food brands like Rachael Ray® Nutrish®. Located along the banks of French Creek in Northwestern Pennsylvania and 45 minutes from Pittsburgh, Meadville is home to more than 13,000 full time residents and 2,000 Allegheny College students. Meadville is an active center for business, industry, education, the arts, recreation, service and tourism. Conneaut Lake, Pymatuning State Park and the Erie National Wildlife Refuge are wonderful places to appreciate the area's natural beauty. Responsibilities The Engineering Intern may assist in a number of project and/or operations support roles in the Engineering department. Assignments may include work such as: Leading small to mid-size capital projects. Coordinate with internal and external resources as needed for assigned activities. Provide engineering support for assigned activities. Specific project and operational roles will be identified 30-60 days prior to the start of the internship, based on business need and intern interests. Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS Candidates must be pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree at an institution with an accredited program in Engineering or a related field. Proven leadership, problem-solving and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in teams Strong written and oral communication skills The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative to identify areas of opportunity and take action A high level of competence in computer applications and the ability to use technology as a decision-support tool Ability to identify and evaluate tactical methods to achieve objectives, identify deviations from the plan, and facilitate resolution Ability to handle confidential information and use discretion within and outside of the organization Previous internship or work experience (strongly preferred) Interest in the consumer packaged goods / manufacturing industry with the desire to start a career with Post Consumer Brands after graduation (strongly preferred)
