Responsibilities The Payroll Specialist team is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 12,000+ employees in the US and Canada. This position requires strong payroll and payroll tax knowledge, attention to detail, organizational and collaboration skills. This position will be based in the corporate headquarters located in St. Louis, MO and will report to the Payroll Supervisor. KEY RESPONSIBLITIES Responsible for the Gross to Net payroll processing for multiple states within the US and Canada with different payroll frequencies (weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly) Ensure the collection of hours from the Kronos Time and Attendance system with the plant locations Gather information for related internal and external audits as required Coordinate closely with Payroll Accounting teams to ensure GL information is accurate Maintain accurate records and comply with the Company’s Record Retention policy Assist with data entry/acceptance of payroll transactions (timesheets, status changes, new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, adjustments, manual checks, etc.) Assist with processing approved incentive, relocation and bonus payments Calculate and process garnishments Work with Treasury and Accounting on Escheatment of outstanding checks Assist with creating documentation for Disaster Recovery manual Backup for registering and funding paycards Create various standard and ad hoc reports as needed Create GL file and send to Finance Performs actions necessary to determine pay and deductions, including Federal and State taxes, insurance, 401k and other deductions Resolve payroll discrepancies/balance payrolls as required Additional projects as required Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree CPP preferred 4+ years of Payroll gross to net experience preferred Experience with Kronos or UltiPro nice to have Must be detailed oriented and able to analyze data Must have excellent interpersonal skills, written communication, and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and multi-task oriented Microsoft experience (Excel & Word) Knowledge of FLSA, payroll laws and regulations required Ability to analyze payroll issues and have a quick resolution
