Milton G. Waldbaum and Dan Gardner founded our egg-processing business in 1950 here in Wakefield. Our location raises chickens and produces tankers of liquid egg to be consumed by our processing facilities. Responsibilities JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for keeping dryer running as efficiently as possible. Keep machinery oiled, greased and as clean as possible. Do minor repairs and help mechanics with major repairs. Do safety checks on valves, gauges, electrical wiring, motors, belts, etc… Need to report any major problems. Responsive for keeping daily recordings and charts. Responsible to operate tractor and spreader in the fields. Responsible to help or do other jobs as needed. Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors or employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: Licenses, certificates, and registrations required: None required OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Specific skills and abilities required that are not included in other sections: Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions. Ability to tolerate dusty and aromatic conditions. Ability to work outside, during the winter for long periods of time. Have good mechanical knowledge. Have a basic set of mechanical tools. Ability to safely lift 100 lbs. occasionally. Ability to climb stairs and ladders. Travel to work at multiple locations. Abel to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed. Ability to stoop and bend.
